Executive Director and Head of Digital Products at Barclays.


Based in New York, Ms. Cao is responsible for developing Digital Strategy for Markets and in charge of identifying new opportunities and integrating cutting-edge technology to transform internal sales and trading workflow and client experience. Being an entrepreneur herself, a founding partner of a FinTech firm which has now successfully raised $300mm for Series C funding, she is a mentor and ambassador for Barclays Open Innovation Platform (Rise) to coach and mentor start-ups for business grows. Prior to taking on this role in 2017, Ms. Cao was a founding member of Barclays award-winning OTC Clearing team, responsible for business development/strategy, product development, and client advisory, driving industry solutions in OTC Clearing and SEF trading. She is also a SteerCo member in Barclays Diversity networks driving diversity and inclusion efforts.

Ms. Cao joined Barclays in 2011 from Oliver Wyman Group, where she advised C-suites at fortune 500 companies on digital transformation, data science initiatives, and derivatives modeling and risk management. She holds a master degree in Economics at Yale University and a B.A. in Economics at Peking University in China.

Ms. Cao was recognized by Markets Media Group in their 5th Annual Women in Finance Awards for Excellence in FinTech.
