Women in Derivatives is honored to announce our newest addition to the Board of Directors, we are thrilled to welcome Joyce Thormann, Chief Representative, Euroclear New York.

Welcome Joyce!

Joyce has been the Head of Euroclear Bank’s New York Representative Office since 2018. She also acts as Compliance Officer for the New York office. From 2015 to 2019 Joyce was the Business Development Officer for the Collateral Management Utility within DTCC-Euroclear GlobalCollateral Ltd, a joint-venture between two of the largest post-trade market infrastructures.

She joined Euroclear’s headquarters in Brussels in 2007, where she had oversight of relationships with Investment Banks based in London and New York. In 2015, Joyce relocated to New York to lead the Relationship Management teams for the Americas, covering 200 clients in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Since she began her career, Joyce has held a number of management positions in Securities Services, notably at JP Morgan and BNP Paribas in Paris, and more recently as Head of Relationships with Global Custodians.

Joyce is a passionate mentor and enjoys offering advice on how to best empower other women. She is a member of Women in Finance in Belgium, focusing on attracting more women to the financial sector. She is also an active member of Women in Derivatives (WIND), currently serving as facilitator for a Wolfpack of high powered professional women. 

Joyce graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics.
