Job Purpose
The Bank Loan Group manages CLO portfolios and floating rate funds and expects to grow the CLO platform significantly over the next several years. The new Bank Loan Group member will work with the existing portfolio management team and report to the Head of Leveraged Credit. The VP, Bank Loans will be involved in all aspects of portfolio management with an emphasis on expanding the platform. This position has high potential for career progression given the small team and growth initiative.
Essential Responsibilities
- Participates in the portfolio management of existing CLOs, new CLO warehouses, two floating rate funds and future Bank Loan Group managed portfolios.
- Markets CLOs and funds to third party investors and internal clients.
- Acts as a liaison with the Credit Analysis Team on research of new issue loan transactions and existing investments, including stressed credits.
- Communicates with agent banks to obtain market information on new and existing investments, including new deal commitments and allocations.
- Processes bank loan amendments.
- Trades bank loans in the secondary market.
- Takes an active role in bank loan administrative tasks, including CLO modeling, trade entry and confirmation, portfolio management and attribution, and assisting the bank loan operations group as issues arise.

- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Background in leveraged credit analysis.
- Experience with CLOs and loan funds.
- Experience with third party clients and investor presentations.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a variety of relationships and situations.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate key organizational skills is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related field required.
- 8-12 years of investment experience required.
- 5+ years in Bank Loans preferred.
- MBA, CFA or equivalent of professional achievement preferred.
