Your Function:

Rabobank’s Markets division provides hedging and risk management solutions to clients by leveraging the bank’s global expertise in interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities and financial markets research. The Markets Analyst is responsible for supporting the marketing and origination efforts of Rabobank’s Markets team located in St. Louis. This group of product specialists helps rural clients throughout the U.S. utilize derivative instruments to manage interest rate and commodity price risk.

The Analyst will support senior members of the Markets team in all aspects of the group’s business. The role requires exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with legal requirements.  The candidate will need to be a self-starter and comfortable managing multiple priorities in an unstructured work environment. As part of a global business, this position offers the opportunity to work with bank colleagues in the Netherlands and around the world in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following job duties are considered essential to this position

Work as liaison between the Markets team, Rabo AgriFinance relationship managers, and bank Operations staff to gather customer data and on-board new clients into all internal systems.
Assist senior salespeople by building Excel spreadsheets for financial modeling and pricing of derivative transactions
Prepare customized marketing presentations in PowerPoint.
Assist in preparing, sending, and retrieving legal documents, trade confirmations, and general correspondence with clients. Keep meticulous files and records of these documents.
Work with Operations department to ensure client bills are paid on time and assist with chasing missed payments as needed.
Independently investigate operational problems, determine solutions, analyze historical data, and prepare reports/recommendations for action by supervisor.

Job requirements include:

2-5 years prior work experience; banking background a plus
Basic knowledge of and interest in financial markets, including interest rates and commodity prices
Demonstrated robust quantitative and analytical skills
Highly organized, detail oriented and the ability to work independently
Advanced Excel modeling skills required; programming abilities a plus (VBA, Java and/or C++)
Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and over telephone
Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as loan agreements, credit reports, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write clear, logical, and concise presentations, memos and correspondence.
Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record
