You and Your Job:

As a fund finance colleague, you will be successful by implementing a sounds growth and execution strategy for our North America clients.

Markets is a client centered department which is the center of competence for financial markets products and serves as the point of access to the financial markets for Rabobank’ s clients and the whole of the Rabobank Group and its entities. Markets consists of Capital Markets, Sales, Trading, Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) and Business Development. It operates as a global business line with hubs in Utrecht, London, New York, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong and Sydney and spokes in St. Louis, Singapore, Shanghai and Mumbai. Within FIG, the FI Lending and Fund Finance team, located in Utrecht, The Netherlands, is specialized in originating and executing fund finance facilities for Rabobank’s Key Focus Sponsors globally. The current role we are seeking to fill is intended to support the further build out of origination and execution capabilities in the US next to the existing global team. The Fund Finance team in New York is supported by local Sponsor Coverage providing coverage for Rabobank’s North America Key Focus Financial Sponsor client base.

Job Responsibilities:

Position Rabobank as a key lender in fund finance facilities in North America for our Key Focus Sponsors.
Proactively cooperate with Sponsor Coverage and the global FI Lending & Capital Call team to map out and identify new opportunities for the Rabobank North America Key Focus Sponsor client base.
Define opportunities, positioning and coverage of clients/prospects and translate these opportunities into pitches, in close co-operation with Sponsor Coverage and present these pitches at Treasurer/CFO level of our Key Focus Sponsors.
Effectively work together with Sponsor Coverage, Capital Markets, Sale, and other Rabobank departments on origination and execution and support/contribute to build, improve and strengthen the cooperation with other Rabobank departments.
Represent Rabobank during deal execution and post-closing: perform analyses (financial, commercial, risk, structure and other), financial modelling, writing well-founded credit applications, negotiate legal documentation, taking care of operational activities and transaction monitoring.
Maintain contact with external parties, origination and syndication professionals at other investment banks and lawyers concerning fund finance transactions.

Your Promise to Us

To be considered for the Vice President, Fund Finance role, you must have;

7+  years of relevant working experience in investment banking / fund finance origination and execution.
Extensive track-record in origination, structuring and execution of fund finance transactions for Financial Sponsors.
Excellent legal and analytical skills with the proven ability to adequately analyze the legal structure and perform the credit analysis of fund finance facilities.
Experience in pitching on Treasury/CFO level.
Experience with high profile deal execution/complex transactions.
Position Rabobank as a key lender in fund finance facilities in North America for our Key Focus Sponsors.
Work collaboratively with all areas of the bank.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $140,000.00 – $230,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
