Job Overview/Purpose

Markets Trading NY has traders that facilitate the pricing and risk management of FX Spot, Fx Forward, FX Option products and the FX e-markets platform .  These people work on the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the FX desk which include – manning e-markets platform, pricing client deals and watching customer orders and risk managing the NY FX trading book.


Context of Job

FX continues to be a reliable and dependable asset class within  Markets and a genuine client product requirement. We provide global FX coverage for our clients 24 hours a day from the open in Asia on Monday until the close on Friday in NYC.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Provide pricing and manage risk for FX Book from e-markets platform after European hours – staying until the hand over to Hong Kong.
Monitor and execute spot orders for global customers and send confirmations to salespeople.
Service any FX customer requests via salespeople on NYC trading floor.
Price and execute FX options and delta hedge.
Provide effective coverage in current staff absence.
Key Relationships

The employee has relationships with the global FX trading teams.

Includes the spot desks in London and Asia.

Person also has relationships with the sales force.

Qualifications (Essential):

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Engineering (any field), or closely related field
Preferred Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in: Trading Derivative products, working with Banking Sales Teams; executing, hedging and risk managing a portfolio of Trades whose risks can include (but are not limited to) exposure in Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange

Strong excel skills; VBA; Python
