Job Purpose
Reporting to the Vice Chairman, NYSE Group and President, NYSE Institute, this role will support strategic and long-range efforts of the NYSE and NYSE Institute.
The ideal candidate has highly developed corporate/public policy and interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail, exceptional professional judgment and discretion, and strong leadership and organizational skills. The individual must also build relationships across the organization with key business leaders and be able to manage multiple projects in a complex and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, build, and manage relationships with international exchanges, policymakers, and policy organizations.
- Create new opportunities to bring global stakeholders in government and business together to advance their shared interests.
- Engage with industry groups and international organizations, including the World Federation of Exchanges and the World Economic Forum.
- Establish and drive an executive communications strategy that promotes the importance and impact of the NYSE, its listed companies, and the public markets.
- Support development of content for NYSE leadership, including speeches, briefing materials, op-eds, videos, fact sheets, and reports.
- Identify and monitor trends and issues that provide key messaging opportunities that align with team strategy.
- Support with research, strategic planning, and special projects.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a discipline such as communications or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience, preferably in executive communications and/or strategy development and execution.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of corporate and strategic messaging expertise using a multi-channel engagement.
- Understanding and/or experience in financial services highly desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with ability to establish positive and trusted relationships and satisfy multiple external and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with C-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations and multiple priorities.
- Structured, highly organized problem solver with attention to detail.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, including desire to continuously learn and grow with a focus on the company’s business lines, customers, competitive set and changing dynamics of the market.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Schedule
This role is on-site in our New York, NY office.
Base Salary Range for New York Candidates
The expected base salary for this role is between $160,000 to $210,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
