Job Description
Responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the futures business – which includes the direction of the broader futures distribution strategy alongside the Head of Futures Sales, maintaining the Futures’ business P&L, pricing and trends of the business and lastly manage existing product market structure and the functional footprint.

This role will interface with multidisciplinary Cboe teams to identify opportunities for growth in the futures and digital asset products and execute on those opportunities with clear KPIs based on business performance and corporate priorities.

Major Job Duties:

Manage functional futures footprint includingEvaluate and implement potential market structure changes w/Derivatives Strat / Market Structure teams to grow the overall business
Work w/legal/Global Client Services/Market Structure Functionality/Ops (Jira)/QA on rollout of changes
Futures business P&L oversight by conductingExisting product forecasting
Budgeting & Quarterly ForecastingWork w/finance answering internal finance questions
Monitoring & report on; RPC/business mix, customer trading impact on pricing tiers
Creation/management of futures pricing, including:Design/analysis of fee change modelsFee change impact analysis
Firm outreach in coordination w/GCS
Coordination w/pricing team/ops/legal/GCS/Derivatives Strategy/Tech/QA on intended changes & timeline
Define Product Distribution StrategyGuide existing futures product and distribution strategy alongside Head of Futures Sales
Define business plans to expand the global use of Futures products
Guide distribution strategy and bring new futures products to marketSolicitation of liquidity providers
Solicitation of end-user interest
Economic analysis to include:Resident expert in futures market color & trend analysis, identify trading flow participants and usage changes
Work w/Data & Analytics team to build dashboards (In Tableau) showing real-time market analysis usable by other departments w/in Cboe
Monitor & report on industry market share & trendsCompetitive analysis w/in exchange spaceProduct analysis; EMINI/MICROS, VSTOXX, SPIKES, etc.
InfrastructurePreparation & presentation of decks at meetings such as QBRs, SMG, MLC, and CFE board meetings
Provide input for Exchange & Holdings board decks
Represent the futures business line in PRIME & PID process
Represent Cboe (futures focused) @ industry conferences & on industry committees

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree such as MBA and or CFA a plus
Ability to fully understand the derivatives space which includes listed and OTC products (futures, options, ETPs, and other structures), strategies, market structure, connectivity, etc.
Strong experience in, and up to date knowledge of, the evolving equity derivatives (listed and OTC) space globally, the key participants, and market infrastructure providers is a pre-requisite
Minimum of 10 years’ experience to include managing a team with sales and business development experience at either a major derivatives Exchange, or sales and trading desk derived experience at an investment bank, proprietary trading firm, or buy-side asset management experience utilizing equity derivatives
Must have the gravitas and knowledge to lead detailed discussions with bank sales and trading heads and decision makers, portfolio managers and dealing desks at asset managers and hedge funds, as well as traders and heads of business development at proprietary trading firms/market makers
Must be a rapport builder willing to establish collaborative relationships within the firm as well as with a diverse external trading community client base; develop network of business and professional contacts; leverage business relationships to support goals
Be results driven, highly organized and structured with outstanding ability to define a detailed business plan, , balancing multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail, adjust to changes in priorities and situations, complete work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be able to interact in a professional manner with internal and external contacts; use tact and diplomacy; maintain confidentiality; appropriately handle and communicate controversial or sensitive information
Strong proficiency with MS-Office software including presentation software (i.e. PowerPoint)
