Ms. Jordal is currently, Executive Vice President and Head of EMEA Operations and Trade Support for PIMCO. In her role she manages the day-to-day oversight of PIMCO’s EMEA operations and portfolio management trade support functions across PIMCO’s London, Munich and Dublin offices.
Ms. Jordal has responsibility for overseeing and managing EMEA’s trading function, including managing allocations and settlements, collateral and cash desks, derivative confirmations, counterparty issues, regulatory reporting, bank oversight/bank claims and client servicing with respect to operational issues.
Prior to her current role, she was Deputy General Counsel in PIMCO’s Legal Department where she had global responsibility for PIMCO’s transactional legal and counterparty related issues and documentation with respect to over-the-counter, centrally cleared and exchange traded derivatives, forward financing transactions (repo, bond forwards, TBAs etc.), and prime brokerage transactions. She advised PIMCO’s domestic and global offices with respect to any related derivatives trading or regulatory issues.
Ms. Jordal has extensive experience working closely with the Portfolio Management teams and trade support functions globally with respect to all derivatives and forward/financing trading and was actively involved in various regulatory advocacy efforts with respect to regulations that impact counterparty risk, derivatives and other forward financing trading in US, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining PIMCO in 2002, Ms. Jordal was a member of the legal department at Deutsche Bank AG, working on a variety of derivative related matters for the corporate/investment banking and asset management divisions. Ms. Jordal holds a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College.
