Role: Regulatory and Fixed Income Transactional Attorney

Department Overview:

Legal team of regulatory and transactional attorneys supporting all Global Markets businesses, including Equities, Rates, Credit, FX, Securitized Products and various Solutions businesses

Role description:

·         Interpret, educate and assist with the implementation of U.S. regulatory changes that impact Global Markets and related businesses, both in the Americas and abroad (e.g. Dodd-Frank, margin rules)

·         Assist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting Global Markets and related businesses, including through relevant industry working groups

·         Advise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businesses

·         Advise the Business, Risk, Operations, IT, Compliance and others regarding US and cross-border legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks, primarily with respect to Fixed Income products and businesses

·         Work closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of Fixed Income products (including futures, derivatives and loans)

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

·         Minimum 3-6 years legal experience

·         Familiar with securities law, Dodd-Frank, broker/dealer regulation, commodities law, bankruptcy, margin and related issues

·         Experience with regulatory analysis and transactional work

·         Familiar with industry documentation (e.g., ISDA, EMTA, LSTA, LMA, GMRA)

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills — ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management

·         Ability to work independently and respond proactively to business needs

·         Strong team player

·         Familiarity with Latin American jurisdictions and Spanish language skills would be beneficial
