The Goldman Sachs Returnship® Program, an eight-week paid internship for professionals looking to restart their careers after time away from the workforce, launched 11 years ago. Since then, more than 400 people globally have participated in the initiative, which continues to be an important component of the firm’s recruiting efforts. The program gives those who temporarily leave the workforce – whether to raise children, care for a loved one, or for other personal reasons – an opportunity to reintegrate into the workplace and sharpen their professional and technical skills.
Our 2019 Returnship Program® in the Americas will take place from Tuesday, January 15 to Friday, March 8 in Dallas, Jersey City, New York and Salt Lake City, and I am pleased to serve as sponsor of the initiative. As in previous years, the program will offer opportunities in several divisions and access to ongoing training and mentoring.
The application window is now open and we have already received strong interest. If you know of anyone in your network who would be a good candidate for the Returnship® Program, please encourage them to learn more and apply by Sunday, October 14. Preferred criteria for candidates include:
Currently out of the workforce for two or more years
Prior relevant professional work experience
A demonstrated interest in financial services
