ALEXANDRA GUEST is the Chief Compliance Officer for Barclays Capital Inc. (FCM) and the Global Lead for Barclays Futures and OTC Clearing Compliance. During her 20+ years as a lawyer and regulatory compliance advisor, Alex has covered the Commodities/Futures industry as Senior Counsel (Compliance) for LDH Energy and the Louis Dreyfus group of companies and as a corporate securities lawyer with Kramer Levin.
Early in her career, Alex worked for the United Nations and advised several Canadian Cabinet Ministers, including serving as the Press Secretary and Legislative Advisor to the Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell, who was Canada’s first female Prime Minister.
Alex studied at Queen’s University, Oxford University, the University of Toronto, the University of Connecticut, New York University Law School and the University of Paris, La Sorbonne.
Alex is also actively involved in a wide variety of industry and pro bono activities, including serving as the Vice President of the Futures Industry Association’s Law & Compliance Executive Committee, member of the National Futures Association’s FCM Committee, member of the Queen’s University Arts & Science Campaign Cabinet and Co-President of the Friends of Greenwich Crew.
