Ilene Froom is a partner in the Banking & Finance group at the law firm, Jones Day. Ms. Froom practices in the firm’s New York office where she advises clients on derivatives transactions and related documentation. Ms. Froom’s practice encompasses different aspects of derivatives, including, derivatives, fixed income derivatives and associated regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Ilene worked at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. and Bear Stearns & Co. where she worked on onshore and offshore equity derivatives transactions, including hedging and monetization strategies, total return, swaps volatility and variance swaps, dividend swaps, access products and customized transactions. She also has an extensive background in fixed income products, including swaps, swaptions, straddles, caps, floors, collars, range accruals, credit default swaps, CDOs, and FX options and forwards.
Ms. Froom is chairperson of the New York State Bar Association’s Derivatives and Structured Products Committee, is on the advisory committee of Women in Derivatives and is involved in other industry organizations. She frequently lectures on derivatives and has presented at conferences for ISDA, PLI, New York City Bar and ACI.
Ms. Froom received her B.A. from Brandeis University in Linguistics and her J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.
